Tim is a nationally-recognized specialist in the financial institutions industry, presently providing advice on FI risk and insurance issues as well as expert witness consulting services. He previously served on the staff of leading insurance broker, Marsh’s National Financial Institutions Industry Practice as a national resource and subject matter expert, and has accumulated over 32 years’ experience as a specialist broker and risk advisor.
Prior to his National Practice assignment, Tim focused on meeting the hazard risk management and insurance needs of Fortune-ranked banks, insurance companies, securities firms and other financial institutions as a placement broker, a client executive, and a regional FI industry specialist.
Through his direct work with clients and his years with Marsh’s National Financial Institutions Industry Practice, Tim has accumulated broad experience in a variety of management liability insurance products, including bankers professional liability, insurance company professional liability, financial institution bonds, and all lines of property, casualty and specialty insurance and associated risk consulting services usual to financial institutions.
In addition to his past work as a broker and his current consulting work, Tim has also served as a mentor and executive coach, and as a director & officer of several not-for-profit organizations. Prior to beginning his insurance broking career, Tim worked in regional and branch office operations for 10 years as a fidelity and surety underwriter for two major insurance companies. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago.
